Step 1 of 3. Inspected
A multi-point inspection by certified technicians, on every device, before it is listed.

Step 2 of 3. Cleaned, and parts replaced
Professionally cleaned, with any part that does not meet the standard replaced rather than passed on.

Step 3 of 3. Components tested
Every component is tested and the device is certified for performance and reliability.
These steps are drawn from what LapItUp already publishes about its own inspection process. The full written checklist is still being put together — when it exists it replaces these, with no change to this section.
Condition, Honestly
A+, A, B. No guesswork.
Vague grading is the single biggest trust problem in refurbished hardware — “good condition” means whatever the seller wants it to mean. These are ours, in plain language, and they are the same three words that appear on every product page.

Grade A+:
As new
No visible wear at any angle under normal light. Screen free of scratches and blemishes. Keyboard and palm rest show no shine. Indistinguishable from a new unit to anyone who is not looking for serial numbers.

Grade A:
Light wear
Minor cosmetic marks visible on close inspection — faint scuffing on the lid or base, slight key shine. Nothing visible at arm’s length. Screen clean. Fully functional with no impact on use.

Grade B:
Visible wear, fully functional
Cosmetic marks you will notice: scratches, scuffs, worn keys or a small dent. The screen may have minor blemishes that do not affect use. Everything works exactly as it should. Priced accordingly, and photographed honestly.
Grading is being rolled out across the catalogue. Until a unit has been graded, no grade is shown on its page — we would rather show nothing than a guess. Ask us about any specific machine and we will tell you its condition.
